The 2015 Release for UK market
The new Swiss Regional 2016 is here and it is a promising one. This Double Robusto has excellent flavors and aromas as per usual with Juan Lopez brand. Production quality is premium. A recommended cigar to be aged in your humidor for a couple of years but can also be smoked young.
This is on of the Regional Edition 2010 for Pacific Asia, produced in 4000 numbered boxes containing 25 cigars each. A Juan Lopez in Torpedo shape is a novelty in itself, but what makes this cigar a little different is the freshness of the smoke. Medium in body, it is the grassy aromas that give this cigar its 'chilled' feeling. A great smoke to be tried by anyone who calls themselves an aficionado.
The new UK Regional Edicion for 2013 follows in the esteemed footsteps of two remarkable cigars launched 22 years apart. The original Robusto sized Flor de Cano Short Churchill was released in the late 1980’s but was then discontinued in the early 1990’s. Despite its brief production run, the Short Churchill quickly gained a reputation among aficionados. Since then it has continued to be extremely sought-after. A box of 25 recently sold at auction for the remarkable sum of £6,600. It was this cigar that provided the inspiration for the 2010 UK Regional Edition, the Flor de Cano Short Robusto. This phenomenal little cigar went on to become one of the most popular UK Regional Editions ever. The Gran Cano measures 141mm x 50 ring gauge and is therefore a Gordito. It has been produced in 5000 numbers boxes of 10 cigars. Care in replicating the Flor de Cano blend as well as the unique green ink hot stamps on the boxes remind us of old Havana. The box includes a replica of a papeleta (the colourful end label) dating back to the 1930’s and the cigar will be dressed with a redesigned band that carries the name of the cigar.

Released in 3000 numbered boxes containing 10 cigars wrapped in a golden half dress, the new Punch has been dedicated to the English Market Regional Edition line for 2011. The cigar was only released on the market in early 2012, but already we can tell you it is a bit special. Big leather/honey, mild spice flavors give the impression you are smoking candy. You will either love it or hate. Are you sweet or savor?
The 2009 release from PUNCH, available only for the Benelux market in 2600 limited numbered boxes.
The new Regional Edition 2011 for Pacific Asia, released in 2400 numbered boxes containing 25 cigars. Unlike the standard Punch woody blend, the Sabrosos offers a far richer blend with notes of honey, leather and spice. It is medium/full bodied, which would indicate that this cigar will get better with age.
The 2015 Habanos Edicion Regional for Switzerland is the Punch Supremos. This Regional Edicion is produced in 5000 numbered boxes of 10 cigars. The Punch Supremos is a large Sobresalientes (Double Robusto) sized cigar. Young, this Punch blend will need time to get to where it should be. The initial draws are lighter than you would expect from a smoke of this size and the cigar has yet to ease into shape, giving a feeling of looseness. The cigar progresses into stronger woody and aniseed flavors in the finale. Huge potential on this cigar.
This Ramon Allones Petit Belicosos is the only UK Regional production released by Habanos in 2012. Produced in 5000 numbered boxes of 10 cigars, the Ramon Allones Petit Belicosos is an excellent short cigar. Full of rich Ramon blend, this cigar is direct and intense from the start.
4000 boxes were made for this 2012 Regional Edition for the Asia Pacific region. Medium in body, this cigar is full of aroma and very well balanced.
The Balthasar has been specially chosen in 2009 by Habanos for the Baltics. Only 1200 boxes of 10 cigars have been made.
This was a 2009 Regional release for France. Made available in 8000 numbered boxes of 10 cigars, the cigar smokes like a dream. The spice kicks off the cigar on a constant medium body. As the smoke progresses, sweeter notes appear. The finale is the finest part of this smoke, with a combination of sweet, peppery spice that mean smoking to the nub is a pleasure.
Typically Saint Luis Rey in its strength of flavor and powerful smoke, this cigar will be most appreciated by the very experienced smokers. The small size will appeal to the modern smoker and allows for a complex smoke in a very short time. Produced for the Peruvian Market in 2014 in SLB Cabinets of 50 cigars and limited to 1000 numbered units.
SLB 50 Cabinet format. Petit Robusto size.
Powerful, rich and complex blend, yet all in a small format. A 'time out' cigar for the experienced palate.
Without question, this cigar will need a minimum of 5 years to develop its blend to how it was intended.
