Lonsdale (42)x165
This marvellous cigar is specially made for connoisseurs.
I personnally think that it is the best lonsdale. The production
is very limited, so the original blend is respected and a high
level of quality control is maintained.
Tasting of the Partagas Lonsdale:
Before lighting up: earthy and spicy.
Burning: It's strong, rich, complex and has a well balanced draw.
Spicy notes are dominant. The end is very strong without being
aggressive, somewhere inbetween the 8-9-8 and selection privada.
Rare masterpiece.
Personnally, after taking my breakfast, I start my day with a
Partagas Lonsdale, a Punch super selection N°1 or a Romeo y Julieta
Churchill (unfortunately, the Churchills of R y J are not very
well made. Many connoisseurs will not agree with me on this point.)
Comparison with the 8-9-8:
Actually, the production of the 8-9-8 is increasing and the original
blend is not respected. It does not have the same filler as in
the past. The wrapper is rarely oily and shiny. However, even
if you have an exellent varnished box of 8-9-8, the Partagas Lonsdales
are spicier.
